Nutrition & Dietary Assessment

Nutrition‘Let food be your medicine, let medicine be your food’ – Hippocrates

Do you feel bloated and uncomfortable after eating certain foods?

Do you feel tired and lethargic after eating a meal and find yourself having to take 40 winks after eating?

If the former, you may have an intolerance to certain foods, and if the latter, you may have a problem in regulating your blood sugar levels.

To help you work out what may be causing your symptoms, you will be asked to record all that you eat and drink over the course of an average week. And importantly, how you feel in yourself throughout the week.

We can then assess your dietary intake and address areas of your diet where nutritional imbalances occur. We will build on the strengths and show you easy, realistic steps on how to redress these imbalances.

Studies have shown that it is important to eat at least 5 portions of different fruit and vegetables each day as a part of a balanced diet. This delivers important antioxidants, natural chemicals found in foods, which are thought to protect against cardiovascular disease and certain cancers.
